Isn't it clever? If you watch the eyes it's quite hypnotic. And the Sarabande is a big bonus and a huge favourite of mine, too, in all its instrumental incarnations.
Every time I've watched this it's strangely hypnotic effect doesn't seem to wear off. I too am a great fan of Yo-Yo Ma performing Bach particularly the Fourth Suite. I have a dvd called 'Falling Down Stairs' a collaboration with the choreographer Mark Morris and filmmaker Barbara Willis Sweete which is quite wonderful.
