Went to the West Mersea Panto today with SD#3 today.
Babes in the Wood, it was.
Oh no it wasn't!
Oh yes it was!
Also went to a shop and walked with SD#2 and the dog on the beach.
Hectic pace of life here on the Muddy Island, sometimes.
Tomorrow I will be going early to Colchester Rugby Club to watch SD#3 training with the Under-6s. SD#2 will be playing U11s away matches in Braintree. SD#1 will, as usual, be 'shadowing' the club physiotherapist, and getting some hands-on practice with various injured limbs belonging to chaps in the Under 15s - not a bad form of work experience for a 14-year-old girl, if you ask me!
There's just something about rugby . . .

Did you really have those blue skies today? Ours have been grey and full of rain clouds. I wasn't even tempted to look at the sea. Even the rugby players stayed by the fire with hot chocolate and gentle books!
Yes, we did! It was glorious, and quite warm, too. Wished I'd bought tickets for the evening performance of Babes, rather than the matinee, and indulged in a far, far longer walk . . .
No doubt there will be a howling gale and driving rain this morning as I stand huddled over my thermos on the side-lines at the rfc!
Gorgeous photos. As Monix said, Devon's been pretty dismal all weekend.
Don't worry, it didn't last, and North East Essex returned to dark grey skies and high winds today. Just in time (as predicted above) for my usual Sunday morning 'activity'. Brrrrrr.
