Outlandishly busy at work just now, and suffering from disastrous email problems as well - which together form my lame excuse for paucity of posts this week.
However, while polishing off a medicinal glass of wine a few moments ago, I landed - I know not how - on The Republic of Pemberley, via which I discovered this perfectly brilliant solution to the problem of What To Buy For Friends Of A Literary Persuasion: namely the Pemberley Shoppe.
Do go and have a browse - there are hundreds of products, and something there for everyone - from the tongue-in-cheek seeker after the unusual, to the slavish Austen devotee.
